If you make it worth. You just learn it for the sake for adding it’s word in your resume then definitely not.

Django the name was derived from the famous guitarist Django Reinhardt who had 3 fingers only but was a master at it. Same goes with Django even though you don’t know the minute details for web framework you can work with Django but when you work you need to use it’s beauty to build something and worthiness will come along.

It’s been a long time since Django is released, but I believe it’s still worth learning and here is why;

  • It’s Python based. Currently Python is the most popular language out there, you can do anything with Python from web development to machine learning and that makes you more valuable for employers.
  • Django has the best documentation among other open-source technologies
  • It offers high scalability, you can implement your project at any scope/level you want. It is written from scratch without using any python libraries and from years of development on that open-source technology make it more precise and error-free with lots of tests and debugging.

Yes its definitely worthy to learn Django. It can help you build amazing web applications swiftly.

Python has idiomatic expressions and we can build a working prototype pretty fast.

But I think you should stick till feasibility test is successful. After that you can switch to Node.js framework or Java EE frameworks for scalability.

Python though very popular for data science is not that much appreciated in software industry for making web applications. There are spectacular exceptions though like Quora itself, but outliers are rare and they will succeed anyhow.

only problem with django is if you want to build a customized user…and have it work like the standard of the built in user…you better get ready to rewrite the entire authentication process…

a hell of a lot of work using lots of copying source code ..to achieve something which should be a 5 minute job…

so although some things are quick with django …other things are extremely tedious and can take days if not weeks to achieve something simple that you require.

i learned django because i knew some python…but if i hadnt i would probably have just learned node.js

Yes, Definitely If you want to go for web development for large scale projects and want to take base on fully python. Django is the best choice.

Answer

Correct:Yes

I think yes, because there are many advantages to using Django over other frameworks. Some of them;

  • It has built-in administration panel that makes development very easy and fast. You don't need to create an additional admin panel to manage the backend
  • You don't need to create a product from scratch, thanks to its wide variety of libraries
  • Django is built on Python and Python is very useful for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
